The Calgary Bantam Football Association is a tackle football league
for youth aged 13 to 15 in Calgary and surrounding area. Our season
runs from late August until November.

CALGARY SELECTS 16
Our touring Calgary Selects bantam all-stars opened up with a hard
fought Thanksgiving Day defeat at the hands of the Belleville All-Stars
on Thursday in Belleville, Illinois. The team is participating for the
fifth consecutive year in the Pilgrim Bowl, a tournament featuring hundreds
of teams of all age groups.
The Cowboys were behind 21-0 at halftime but the boys shook off the
nerves and outscored Belleville 16-12 in the second half. Scoring for
Calgary was Cheng Wei and Lucas Desmet both on 10 yard touchdown scampers.
Brad Parkinson booted both extra points.
Tomorrow the Selects will take on the Chicago Panthers at 8:30 pm.
The forecast for tomorrow is 70F with a 40% chance of thundershowers.
On Sunday the team will battle the Nebraska Rebels. Well keep
you posted with the results.

CHICAGO PANTHERS 0
The Calgary Bantam Football Associations All-Star team played
their second of three games at the Pilgrim Bowl just outside of St.
Louis, Missouri on Friday and came away with a lopsided 60-0 victory
over the Chicago panthers.
Scoring for the Selects was Cheng Wei with two 30 yard runs, Anthony
Woodson with runs of 35 and 40 yards, Trevor MacFarlane on a 40 yard
pass reception, Lucas Desmet on a long 90 yard trot, Aaron Niedergesaess
from 35 yards out and Loukas Stavropoulos with a 20 yard interception
return. Brad Parkinson added 6 converts.
The Selects will wrap up the tournament against the Nebraska Rebels
on Sunday and they will return to Calgary on Monday. The weather forecast
for Sunday is cloudy in the morning, sunny in the afternoon with highs
near 60F. Well keep you posted with the results.

NEBRASKA REBELS 0
The Calgary Bantam Football Associations All-Star team wrapped
up their Pilgrim Bowl experience on Sunday with another big win, this
time over the Nebraska Rebels 52-0.
The Calgary scorers were Cheng Wei on a 40 yard run, Trevor Macfarlane
on a 20 yard pass from Caleb Clark, Marco Iannuzzi on a 40 yard pass
from Brad Parkinson, Oliver Nakahara from 20 yards out, Aaron Niedergesaess
on a 6 yard gallop, Brad Parkinson on a 20 yard reception on a Caleb
Clark pass and finally Lucas Desmet took one in from 20 yards out. Brad
Parkinson added 5 converts.
Congratulations to the boys and hopefully they had an experience to
remember for a lifetime. The CBFA is proud of all of you!
