CALGARY SELECTS 54 .... BELLEVILLE LITTLE

The Calgary Bantam Football Association's Select team wrapped
up tournament play on Sunday at the 2011 Pilgrim Bowl with a resounding
54-0 triumph over the host Belleville Little Knights. This year
marks the thirteenth appearance for the Calgary squad at the annual
competition played under full American rules.
Quarterback Colton Hunchak (Mavericks) had two touchdown passes
of 50 and 5 yards to Spencer Mahura (Cowboys) and Brandon Tillman
(Stampeders). Mahura also threw a 25 yard touchdown to Brett Ellerman
(Cowboys). Anthony Arnold (Stampeders) had two touchdown runs
of 15 and 14 yards. Also scoring for the Selects were Christian
Sherman (Bulldogs), Noah Motter (Stampeders) and Brendan Hansen
(Eagles) on runs of 10, 2 and 10 yards respectively. Kaedon Armstrong
(Mavericks) added 3 converts.
The Selects will return home on Monday with a 3-0 record
at the Pilgrim Bowl. The travelling Selects have compiled an impressive
34-6-1 record in the thirteen trips to Belleville.

CALGARY SELECTS 62 .... CENTREVILLE TIGERS

The Calgary Bantam Football Association's Select team continued
play on Friday at the 2011 Pilgrim Bowl with a resounding 62-14
victory over the Centreville Tigers, a St. Louis area league champion.
This year marks the thirteenth appearance for the Calgary squad
at the annual competition played under full American rules.
Leading
the way for Calgary was Colton Hunchak (Mavericks) with touchdowns
on a 16 yard run as well as a 5 yard pass from Spencer Mahura
(Cowyboys). Hunchak also completed an 88 yard pass to Brett Ellerman
(Cowboys) for a touchdown. Also scoring rushing touchdowns were
Brenden Hansen (Eagles), Noah Motter (Stampeders), Christian Sherman
(Bulldogs) and Anthony Arnold (Stampeders), on runs of 5, 2, 35
and 6 yards respectively. Patrick Apuzzo (Mavericks) capped off
the Calgary scoring with a 10 yard inception for a touchdown.
Kaedon Armstrong (Mavericks) added 7 converts.

The Calgary Bantam Football Association's Select team began tournament
play on Thursday at the 2011 Pilgrim Bowl with a 38-13 victory
over the Tri County All-Stars. This year marks the thirteenth
appearance for the Calgary squad at the annual competition played
under full American rules.
Leading
the way for Calgary was Brett Ellerman (Cowboys) with 2 touchdown
receptions of 45 and 20 yards, both thrown by quarterback Spencer
Mahura (Cowboys). Other Selects touchdowns were scored by Brandon
Tillman (Stampeders) on a 30 yard pass from Colton Hunchak (Mavericks),
Christian Sherman (Bulldogs) on a 22 yard run and Jesse Halvorson
(Cowboys) on a 60 yard scamper. Kaedon Armstrong (Mavericks) added
4 converts.
