The Calgary Bantam Football Association's Select team kicked off their Little Knights Football Classic experience in fine style in St. Louis, Missouri with a 52-13 victory over the JJK East St. Louis Flames on a balmy 61F (16C) day. It was an impressive win for the Calgary squad, participating for the ninth time in this tournament played under full American rules.
Scoring for Calgary was Garret Field (Cowboys) with 2 touchdowns on a 70 yard kickoff return and a 20 yard run, along with Akeem Haynes (Golden Hawks) on a 10 yard scamper. Quarterback Eli Prochnau (Lions) passed for 3 touchdowns, 25 yards to Wayde Morgan (Hilltoppers), 10 yards to Andre Skinner (Cowboys) and 30 yards to Lucas Pacentrilli (Mavericks). Tim Coles (Wildcats) also passed to Adam Osterling (Wildcats) for a 10 yard score. Pacentrilli converted 5 of the 7 Select touchdowns.
The Selects will now take on the Belleville Little Knights at 1:00 pm CT on Friday in Belleville, Illinois. They will wrap up their tournament play against the JCYA Warriors on Sunday.

BELLEVILLE LITTLE KNIGHTS 28
The Calgary Bantam Football Association's Select team continued its winning ways at the Little Knights Football Classic in St. Louis, Missouri with a resounding 48-28 victory over the Belleville Little Knights on a warm 66F (19C) day. The Calgary squad is making its ninth appearance in the American rules tournament.
The Selects had 6 different touchdown scorers, including Braden Heffernan (Wildcats) on a 15 yard pass from quarterback Eli Prochnau (Lions). Garret Field (Cowboys) and Andre Skinner (Cowboys) both had 3 yard scoring runs, Akeem Haynes (Golden Hawks) ran one in from 32 yards, Mitch Koch (Mavericks) returned a fumbled kickoff for another touchdown and Wayde Morgan (Hilltoppers) scored from 50 yards out. Lucas Pacentrilli (Mavericks) converted all 6 touchdowns.
The Selects will wrap up their tournament action against the Jefferson County Youth Association (JCYA) Warriors at 1:00 pm CT on Sunday.

The Calgary Bantam Football Association's Select team wrapped up its participation in the Little Knights Football Classic in St. Louis, Missouri with an exciting, last minute, 14-6 victory over the Jefferson County Youth Association (JCYA) Warriors on another warm 60F (16C) day.
The Selects opened the scoring in the third quarter with an 18 yard touchdown run from Andre Skinner (Cowboys). The Warriors tied the game at 6 later in the quarter and the score remained deadlocked until quarterback Eli Prochnau (Lions) plunged over from 5 yards out with 30 seconds remaining. Lucas Pacentrilli (Mavericks) added the convert.
The Calgary squad finished up its ninth appearance in the tournament undefeated with a 3-0 record. The travelling Selects have compiled an impressive 24-4-1 record over that time period.
